Hepatitis C is a blood disease that effects primarily your liver. The potential risks of infecting someone else being blood to blood contact and open wounds. The blood to blood contact is VERY contagious. As the virus of Hep lives outside the body for a longer period of time than even the AIDS virus. To give you an example..today, I use my razor and I nick myself shaving and I bleed. Blood gets on the razor. A week and a half from now, if you cut yourself with that razor, you are at risk of contracting the disease. With that said, any toys with the potential of breaking the skin should be reserved solely for one person. And this is ESPECIALLY true of any toy that is made of any type of porous materials. This would be the safest form of play for anyone! Hepatitis C is NOT a sexually transmitted disease, but there have been (although very few) cases where it has been transmitted sexually.
